Grade 7 +Cross
Confirmation, roots us more deeply as sons and daughters of God;unites us more firmly to Christ; increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us. The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, wonder and awe; renders our bond with the Church more perfect; and gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.

Confirmation Preparation Classes
To prepare those in Grade Seven and older to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, instruction is offered through the church. Classes are held in the evenings and the candidate and their parent(s) are required to attend.

Sponsors are required for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preferably the child's Baptismal Godparents would sponsor the child in this sacrament as well, however this is not always a possibility; therefore additional sponsors may be selected at this point. The requirements for sponsors are as follows:

- One Sponsor, male or female is sufficient; however two is allowed (one of each sex).
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- The Sponsor CANNOT be the mother or the father of the one baptized.
- The Sponsor must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist in the Catholic Church.
- Must be a practicing Catholic who attends mass often as well as receives reconciliation and the Eucharist often.
- Lives in accordance with the 10 commandments and precepts of the Catholic Church
- Will be a supportive religious educator for your child.
